Ballard Commons Park is Reopening This Weekend

The Ballard community is buzzing with excitement as the Grand Reopening of Ballard Commons Park is happening this weekend! After a temporary closure, the park will finally open its gates to the public, and we can’t wait to enjoy its greenery and community spaces again.

Join us, Councilmember Strauss’ office, and Seattle Parks and Recreation for the welcome back celebration of Ballard Commons this Saturday, March 11th, and Sunday, March 12th, from 12 – 6 PM both days. There will be:

👉🏼Activities for kids and adults (see Children’s Activities schedule below)

👉🏼Food, including 🍩 from Mighty O Donuts, 🍔 from The Smoke Shop,🍦 from Salt and Straw, and ☕️ from Starbucks

👉🏼Live music from the School of Rock Band & Ballard High School Brass Band

👉🏼Children’s activities with Clover Toys, Illumination Learning Studio, Monster (adult activities, too!), and Mox Boarding House!

👉🏼Raffle prizes with items from local businesses such as Heritage Distilling Co., Pike Brewing, Spir Candle Co., and Studio RA Boutique!

The park has undergone some upgrades in the last few months, including new landscaping, additional benches, and new string lighting, making it an even more inviting space for everyone to enjoy.

As we all come together to celebrate the reopening of Ballard Commons Park, it’s important to remember to follow any guidelines set by the local authorities to ensure everyone’s safety and well-being. Let’s continue to respect one another and this beautiful public space as we enjoy its amenities.
