Community Events

The Ballard Alliance produces a variety of events throughout the year to support the business community and engage residents and visitors alike. No matter your age or interests, there is an event for you in Ballard. Learn more about some of our evergreen events below.

SeafoodFest

Ballard SeafoodFest brings together the best of Ballard and beyond with live music, family fun, local restaurants and vendors, and the best showcase of seafood, craft beer, and cocktails anywhere in Seattle. This community celebration brings thousands of people to the neighborhood to enjoy everything Ballard throughout the three-day festival. All proceeds from SeafoodFest are reinvested into the community through programming and services provided by the Ballard Alliance.

Art Walk

Founded in 1997, Ballard ArtWalk is a monthly event that supports local artists and the Ballard business community. On the second Saturday of each month, numerous neighborhood businesses welcome local artists to showcase their work in what become pop-up galleries inside Ballard shops and restaurants! Holidays in Ballard

Holidays in Ballard is a magical time. Take a stroll down streets lined with lighted trees and enjoy the festive seasonal window displays.

Kiddos can head out on the Tomte Trail to explore the many places tomten like to hide with a Tomte Trail Passport. Fill at least 10 spaces by finding the tomte hiding in participating businesses and bring your passport to the Ballard HolidayFest for some holiday fun and to be entered in a drawing for a Family-Plus membership to the National Nordic Museum!

At HolidayFest, bring your friends and family to Marvin’s Garden Park (Bell Tower) for free pictures with Santa, free popcorn and treats, music, and merriment every year on the first Saturday in December.
